At Barcelona Airport (BCN), we work with a number of trusted car hire suppliers, offering both on-airport and off-airport pick-up options. Some providers have rental desks located directly in the Arrivals Hall, allowing you to complete the paperwork and walk a short distance to the airport car park to collect your vehicle. Other suppliers operate a free courtesy minibus service from the terminal to their nearby rental depot, located just a few minutes from the airport. Full pick-up instructions are provided with your booking, so you’ll know exactly where to go when you arrive.
Driving on from Barcelona Airport
Once you’ve picked up your hire car at Barcelona Airport, you’re perfectly placed to explore Barcelona, Catalonia, and beyond. The airport has direct access to major routes such as the C-31, C-32, and AP-7, making onward travel straightforward. Barcelona city centre is around 25 minutes (15 km) away, while coastal destinations like Sitges can be reached in about 20 minutes (30 km). Head north towards the Costa Brava, travel inland to Montserrat, or continue south along the coast — with a rental car, the region is easily accessible.
